Way back in the year of our Lord 2022, a young lady named Samantha Daichendt was hot off a JetBlue one-way ticket to NYC. She found herself at an apartment aptly referred to as “The Narrows,” in which 3 young men she had never met were throwing a party for a newly painted mural.

She was approached by a young man in red sunglasses. He introduced himself as MJ. They spoke. The contents of their conversation was lost to time. He exited. She informed her friends later that he was “the most handsome man she had ever met.”

However, due to the unfortunate fact that this young man’s name was not in fact MJ, but rather, Gabriel Igbokwe, they didn’t connect again. He also did not have any photos on his Instagram account. Sus.

But God’s plan couldn’t be stopped! At a birthday party the next January, Samantha offers to buy Gabriel a Cosmopolitan. Gabriel accepts but is reluctant due to the shape of the glass it comes in and the color of the beverage. The bartender puts the Cosmo into a short glass and Gabriel wraps it in a napkin to disguise the pink drink.

After a week of hanging out every day in a group, G & S finally found themselves alone at an art gallery and went to their first dinner date at a Mexican place nearby. A few weeks later they concluded this was their first date and anniversary. It’s been 3 years since then!

And now we will celebrate with all of our favorite people (you!) shortly after our 4 year anniversary. We love you and can’t wait to share the day!
